Kyoto holds a flea Market at one of its temples on the fist Sunday and 21st of every month. So we walked down there at about 9 in the morning. it took about 45 minutes. We bought lots of good food. Pancake things with beans, or pudding inside, fried yams, goo balls with bean paste inside (mochi).
Before we had left for the market, the lady at the hotel mentioned that we might want to get a bus pass, or at least take the bus to the manga museum after because it will be hard to carry your stuff. Nah, we told her, were not planning to buy much. Well, we didn`t buy much beside food for the first couple of hours, but after that we realized that if you go in the more remote areas of the market that you could find people selling antiques, clothes, and just stuff really cheap. I bought about 6 pairs of clothes at one spot for \1000 about $10!!! So, now I REALLY have to through out my other clothes!!So off we hauled our stuff at about 1:30ish. We walked forever and finally got to the manga museum. I figured if we can`t go to the Ghibli museum, we`ll go to the manga one, next best thing right?
Well, I`m not sure, because I haven`t been to ghibli. But this was OK. It was really mostly just rows of manga books. Hopefully mom got a better understanding of what it is. I think she did, but now she`s mumbling about it being a comic. That`s better than a cartoon at least. We walked some more, Stopped in a bookstore, and a movie rental shop, where I saw Clannad and almost fainted.
Then we got some ramen, figured out that we spent about $75 that day and now we are back at the hostel!!!
The Flea market was tons of fun though!
Hi you'all. It rained here on Wen, Wen. night and it's now drizzling on Thur. morning. Simeon puked wen. night a lot one time for some reason. We think it is because he ate a while bunch and then fought really hard with Sterling on the trampoline. I gave him a spoon full of apple cider vinegar and he didn't hurl again. Serene has been awesome. I have been working a lot and she has been taking care of the house and kids. She feeds them, makes them do school and then lets them play. They have been playing Legos. It's funny because you hear them constantly searching for just the right Lego in the box uninterrupted. They fight and argue over the pieces the entire time and love it. Sterling took part the GED on Tue. afternoon and he thinks he did good on every part of it except the (I can't remember which section he said he did not do so well on). He is going to take the writing part of it on Fri. at PVCC. Blair slept with me on Tue night and you Know how usually he is like sleeping with a Bobcat. Well this time he slept like a rock. In the morning he asked me, in front of everyone, "did I do anything last night". You know how he likes to have stories told about himself. Actually he did do one thing. At 2:30 am I got up to go use the little boys room. When I got back he was sleeping on my side of the bed and on my pillow. Even in his sleep he tries to take my spot.
ReplyDeleteWe're going to try to go to the horses today, Thur., but it is raining now.
I organized all my jobs so that I don't have to do any work today. You know how that goes though. Especially when it rains.
Simeon just came in and started talking to me. He asked if I told you that he upchucked last night, and started blabbering about how this has happened before and how it hasn't happened this way before. I told to get out and go pour my coffee so that I can blog back to you two.
Friday the ladies are having park day and Shy is taking all the kids.
Oh, ya. Sunday I decided to go to Owen's sunday school class. Well, What I didn't know, or forgot, was that Tearah and Casey were in Payson and going to go to church up there, and that Shy was at a birth and Arturo would need a ride to church. Sterling rode his bike over here at 9:30 to go to church with us, and that's right - you guessed it, we were not here. Also, on the way to church my cell phone battery died. So he rides over to Arturo's and Arturo tells him to go back and get the van. He does, but there is no car seat in the van for the cutest little baby in the world, so they all had to stay home from church. Oh ya, speaking of Felicity, she said some words the other day. She cooed and cawed and then out she says "goo goo gaa gaa your my super papa g-daddy". I couldn't believe my ears. I fell off my chair and accidentally through Felicity. She was about to hit the floor, but Arturo did a diving grab and caught her just before she hit the ground. She gave her dad a kiss and turned around and stuck her tongue out at me. I told her to act her age and she told me to learn how to hold a baby.
Glory's here now and telling me how horses can get wet but we can't. But we can wear rain clothes. Think she's trying to get us to still go to the horses even though it's raining? Naaaw.
Oh, ya. Yes honey, we did turn off the rain switch.
We're going to go to Peter Pipa Pizza tonight with T & C.
Glory says, It's windy today. It's raining now. We're going to the horse stables today.
Simeon Says, I went to work with dad and we went to a mexican restaurant and that made me throw up.
Thatcher says, Ummm awwwwwe Simeon I'm not going to talk to them about Legos uuuuuuuuuuuuu i don't know.
He's reading his bible now, I guess he can't think when he's reading.
Alright that's all.
I love you two.
God bless.
Oh ya, what time do you guys land next week so I know when to pick you'all up.
Love Hubby and dada.
